The handles are made from tough Zytel with an erognomic design that help lock the knife into your hand. The pronounced finger groove and heavy jimping on the back give great purchase during use. The blade of the Rancor IX is made from D2 tool steel, which is a tough steel frequently used in everyday use knives. The knife is locked up with a sliding lock and comes with a reversible stainless steel pocket clip.
